This futuristic truck CUTS DOWN on drivers in the logging industry

Einride, a Swedish startup, has unveiled its latest bold invention - the electric T/Log.

The truck is autonomous and is able to navigate tricky woodland terrain on its own.

For unexpected situations, the company has partnered with Phantom Auto.

Phantom Auto is a leading remote control service provider.

The operators are able to monitor and help out a number of vehicles at the same time.

Einride says this will lower the cost of T/Log's production and operation.

Robert Falck / CEO of Einride
"The driver’s cab is what makes trucks expensive to produce, and having a driver in the cabin is what makes them expensive to operate."

It can haul 16 tons(mt), has a 300kWh battery and 200km range,

The T/Log already has a few interested buyers.

There were ±9000 truck drivers and ±21000 logging equipment operators in the U.S. in 2017.

Is T/Log going to assists in cutting more jobs than trees?
